Remembering Ryan Popple

1977-2021We are deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Ryan Popple. A former active duty officer in the U.S. Army, Ryan put country before self in uniform, and in civilian life. Ryan Christopher Popple was born on November 9, 1977, in Elgin, Illinois; the beloved son of John and Cheryl Popple, and brother to his older sister, Jennifer. Ryan served as CEO of Proterra from 2014 to 2020, later being named co-founder and Executive Director. Ryan Christopher Popple will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
